STUDENT HOUSING DESIGN

The commission was to make a student housing divided in 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a communal kitchen and living-room held in 110m2.

Every inhabitant of the house should own a unique space. The materials, colors, furniture… everything is different in each room. The floors, walls and materials are thought individually creating different atmospheres depending on color and texture,  always taking into consideration practicality.

The Skinless collection tries to make the user aware of how his body works and the parts that interact with the pieces of furniture we use every day.

What would happen if the shapes and textures that are normally associated with organs, muscles and bones became part of everyday objects such as a chair or a table? In this way daily objects could become a reflection of what is hidden under our skins.

ART DIRECTION OF MULAFEST FESTIVAL

MULAFEST, the Festival of Trends and Urban Culture, celebrates in 2019 its first international edition in Acapulco. The comission wanted to find a common feature between Mexico and spain for the Madrid edition.

Taking LA FIESTA as an element of union between both cultures, the proposal offers for the first time a conceptual and visual unity to the festival. At ground level, the colors and shapes of the architecture of Barragán and Legorreta help to organize the different activities and in an aerial level, the traditionally inspired XL banners allow you to orient yourself within the pavilion.

Tromploeil is a construction and composition game.  Perforated metal sheets and Metal geometric shapes with hinges and magnets can be put together to create a system that can create  a room divider or anything imaginable.

Inspired by the mechanisms used for changing sets in theatrical productions, the Hoist tables remain in a continuous state of change with a system of pulleys and weights. The tabletops adapt their form and function to diverse settings and activities, raising or lowering to best suit their task.
