The house is full of dances between opposites, materials, colours and ideas that don’t always go hand in hand. The designers have dared to use a very unusual herringbone black wooden floor. This darkness is also reflected in the kitchen ceiling and in the iron and fluted glass doors, which are a departure from the conventional wooden ones. In the living room, avant-garde and tradition meet again in the sofa and armchairs by Note Design for Sancal, with elegant ribbing on the modern shape.

All this without overlooking the key to the project: marble. It is an age-old material, here present in the most unexpected and radical way in worktops, floors and embouchures. Calacatta Viola and its peaceful maroon tones welcome the master bedroom, and extend its colourfulness to the chromatic range of the room. In the words of the architects, ‘it’s as if we had taken a pipette and captured each of the colours of the veins in the ceiling, the tiling, the fabric of the wardrobes, the woodwork…’, creating a temple of harmony for relaxation.
