At last, GANCEDO has its own skyline: GANCEDÓPOLIS, created in celebration of the brand’s 80th anniversary. A city conceived as a natural habitat for textile interior design.

Drawing inspiration from GANCEDO’s seven flagship locations around the world, and through an analysis of the architectural elements that define each one, followed by a process of formal abstraction, a collection of seven fully upholstered furniture pieces was born—pushing the possibilities of textiles to their limits. THE BARCELONA CHAIR recreates the iconic curved wooden façade that characterizes the brand’s Catalan headquarters. THE MADRID LAMP is inspired by the building’s rationalist verticality, emphasizing its different architectural layers. THE MARBELLA SCREEN features postmodernist lines, highlighting the semicircle, the diagonal line, and the straight line. THE TENERIFE STOOL is defined by the intersection of different planes, echoing the composition of the original façade. THE MEXICO CITY CHEST OF DRAWERS represents the orthogonality and the interplay of solid and void volumes that define the Mexican building. THE PUNTA CANA BENCH takes the building’s cantilevers, columns, and irregular forms as the starting point for its design. THE CANCÚN ARMCHAIR embodies simplicity in its boldest and most essential expression.
