The Sistema Chair seeks to make the essential visible—the most fundamental principles of a construction system applied to design. It is composed of pieces with oversized perforations that fit together to create the most recognizable form of all: a chair.
Our goal was to develop a system capable of evolving and adapting to different configurations, responding to the countless ways in which people sit and interact with furniture.
The challenge was to ensure that every component of the system could be fully upholstered and padded, while keeping all connections completely invisible. This is where Rabadán’s technical expertise and craftsmanship came into play, making the concept a reality.
